(SPOT.ph) It's only January right now, and most of us are stuck at home social-distancing in the current pandemic. Chances are, you're dreaming of the day you can take a trip back to the beach, where it's bright and carefree and you can spend the whole day frolicking under the sun. While we can't quite fast-forward time, you can at least travel by taste by relishing the flavors associated with it. Mochiko has collaborated with coconut ice cream brand CocoMama and come out with a new Coconut with Mango flavor for their signature mochi ice cream, and it's a must-try for anybody looking for a bite of those tropical flavors.
The Coconut with Mango Mochi ice cream has Coco Mama's coconut ice cream and sweet mango swirls wrapped in chewy, barely-sweet mochi. With its nutty, creamy, and fruity profile, it'll remind you of the classic Thai dessert of sticky rice with mangoes and coconut milk! It happens to be vegan, too, making it a great option for those avoiding dairy or animal products. This treat goes for P540 for a box of six.
Mochiko does weekly deliveries to selected areas in the Metro; just keep your eyes on their Facebook page and wait for their announcement at 10 a.m. on Saturdays. When your area is up, simply fill out the form they'll be providing to place your order. Alternatively, you can message them on Facebook or Instagram and pick up your orders at Spicebird's stall at The Grid Food Market, Power Plant Mall. Note that you'll have to personally pick it up and cannot book a courier if you go this route.
Mochiko is a homegrown brand of mochi ice cream that was established in 2010. They became fan favorites at Mercato Centrale and became inactive for a number of years, but relaunched in 2020 as a delivery-only venture. Aside from the Coconut Mango, be sure to try their other mochi ice cream flavors like the Black Sesame, Cereal Milk, and Cookie Dough.
