(SPOT.ph) Local brand Auro Chocolate has truly made a name for Filipino chocolate—both here in the Philippines, and outside the country as well. They've won awards internationally and they opened their own store in Shibuya, Japan, in 2018. This time, they're heading over to the Middle East, as they've announced that they'll be opening their very own chocolate café concept in Bahrain!
The café is projected to open in the summer of 2021. According to a social media post, Auro aims to let you enjoy chocolate "not only as a dessert, but an everyday indulgence"—to which we say, sign us up! You can expect them to serve new pastries and drinks, including coffee of course. We don't know about you, but we couldn't be more excited to see what's in store!
Auro Chocolate is a proudly Filipino company that makes bean-to-bar chocolate with cacao beans sourced directly from farming partners in Mindanao. The company was launched in 2015 and have since gone on to change the way we see Filipino chocolate. Just recently, they also released special chocolate bars in collaboration with Filipino fashion designer Lesley Mobo, with stunning packaging that features Mobo's designs, and one-of-a-kind flavors like ylang-ylang and pandan.
In the meantime, if you're looking for cool cafés to check out in Manila, you've got a ton of options as well. One example is La Cathedral Cafe in Intramuros, which has a romantic European vibe and gives you a great view of the Manila Cathedral!
