Spend the Christmas Season on One of the World's Best Islands

(SPOT.ph) Most of us have spent nine months within the four walls of our homes, probably only getting some sunlight during a quick run to the gate to get a delivery. But with the Christmas season approaching, you might want to take a break and fly to one of the world's best islands: Palawan. Lio Beach and El Nido Resorts in El Nido are holding "travel bubbles" in their different resorts for the whole month of December. They're also regulating the crowd so slots are limited.

Lio Beach extends to 4.5 kilometers. It is open to travelers from Manila who avail the "travel bubble" scheme and to Palawan residents.

Travelers can fly direct to Lio Beach in El Nido through AirSwift's chartered flights from Ninoy Aquino International Airport. All the Ayala-owned properties are requiring travel and health declarations and negative results from RT-PCR testing taken 72 hours prior to departure from Manila. They're implementing low-contact check-in and check-out via QR codes, e-mail, and cashless payment options; regular disinfection and cleaning of rooms; and installation of protective barriers in all reception areas. Guests are also encouraged to wear PPEs (face masks, shields, et cetera), avail of in-room dining, and follow physical distancing measures (seat markers).

Huni Lio, which opened in 2019, is offering three-night stays on the following dates:

The two-storey resort features spacious air-conditioned rooms that range from 34.5 square meters to 54 square meters. It has plenty of outdoor space, which is a welcome change from all those months of staying indoors. Not to mention that it's within walking distance to the 4.5-kilometer white sand Lio Beach.
