Here's How Much Those Extra Fees on GCash and PayMaya Will Cost You

Online transactions boomed during this quarantine as consumers loaded up their digital wallets. GCash and PayMaya had free cash-ins and bank transfers earlier this year to provide relief to users, but some of those fees have since returned.

Here's a list of GCash and PayMaya transaction and cash-in fees:

Users can cash in up to P8,000 per month over the counter for free. Anything more will be charged a 2% transaction fee.

Cash-out

Mastercard cash-outs and withdrawals are charged an extra P20. Over-the-counter cash-outs can be charged anywhere from P20 up to to P1,000, depending on the amount cashed out.

GCash to GCash transfers are still free of charge. Services such as buying load, splitting the bill, paying via QR code, paying for your online shopping, requesting and saving money, and booking movies can be done on the GCash app for free.

PayMaya users have a P10,000 monthly cash-in threshold. Anything beyond that amount will be charged a 1% transaction fee.

According to the PayMaya website, those who have not reached their monthly cash-in limit will be refunded the convenience fee.

Other banks and services

Adding money via InstaPay and PESONet will follow the bank's charges. Bank transfers, Western Union, and Smart Padala partner transactions will also be charged a corresponding fee.

PayMaya to PayMaya transactions are free. Billers may charge transaction fees for bills payment done in-app.
