Today’s Free Movie of the Day is the mystery thriller Never Forget, starring the great Lou Diamond Phillips. Directed by Leo Scherman from a screenplay by Kevin Hennelly and Mark Steinberg, Never Forget has the following synopsis: A man (Phillips) who wakes up with amnesia also finds his supposed friend has accused him of murder.
Phillips is joined in the cast by Kris Holden-Ried, Sarah Manninen, Jonathan Whittaker, Jimmy Byron, and Janet Morin.
Phillips’ acting career stretches back almost forty years now, with some of his 150+ screen credits including Bull, Blue Bloods, NCIS: New Orleans, Criminal Minds, Longmire, Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Hawaii Five-O, The Night Stalker, Cougar Town, Southland, Stargate Universe, Chuck, Numb3rs, Psych, George Lopez, Malevolent, 24, Route 666, Supernova, Bats, Brokedown Palace, The Big Hit, Courage Under Fire, Tales from the Crypt, Extreme Justice, The Dark Wind, Harley, Dakota, Young Guns, Young Guns II, Renegades, The First Power, Stand and Deliver, Miami Vice, and La Bamba.
Scherman may be best known for directing the 2017 World War I horror movie Trench 11. He made his feature directorial debut with the 2004 crime thriller White Knuckles. After directing some episodes of The Morgan Waters Show and Screwed Over, he made Never Forget his second feature. His other directing credits include the movies Is There a Killer in My Family?, Secrets at the Inn, and Pretty Cheaters, Deadly Lies, as well as episodes of A Time to Kill, Deadly Deception, Bizarre Murders, Homicide: Hours to Kill, Payday, Illusions of Grandeur, The Carbonaro Effect, Fools Gold, Panic Button, Panic Button USA, Howie Do It, and Scare Tactics.
