Thirty-eight years after gifting the world a really cool slasher called The Mutilator (pick up a copy HERE), writer/director Buddy Cooper has finally gotten around to making a sequel to the film… and over the weekend, he took to social media to unveil the first official poster for Mutilator 2! You can take a look at the poster at the bottom of this article.
Cooper notes that “the woman bound to the nasty looking piling” on the Mutilator 2 poster is Olivia, played by Eva Hamilton of Death Kiss. Producer Jeff Seemann added that “the ocean water was in the 40s when Eva stepped into it for this scene.” So it definitely sounds like it’s a moment worth promoting on the poster.
The original The Mutilator (a.k.a. Fall Break) had the following synopsis:
Years after the accidental death of his wife, a deranged man starts to slice and dice his son’s friends at a beachfront condominium.
The film starred Jack Chatham, Matt Mitler, Ruth Martinez, and Bill Hitchcock… and Mad Monster was able to confirm that Martinez and Hitchcock will be returning to play roles in Mutilator 2. This despite the fact that Hitchcock’s character was killed the first time around! Mad Monster is also where we first heard (last December) that Terry Kiser (Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood) and Damian Maffei (The Strangers: Prey at Night) are in the movie.
Hamilton, Martinez, Hitchcock, Kiser, and Maffei are joined in the cast by Cody Renee Cameron (El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie), Chaney Morrow (Haunt), Marco Reese Maldonado (East New York), Eric Six (Christmas Collision), Ryan James (Terrifier 2), Emily Sue Bengtson (Puppet Master: Doktor Death), Brandi Botkin (Wicked Ones), Anna Clary (Late Checkout), Peter Bussian (Wrecking Crew), Mark Francis (Bed of Nails), Carl J Grasso (Amityville Karen), Bryden Elliott DiGennaro (Arachnado), Colson Dorafshar (Room for Error), Carroll Herring (The Fez Belcher Show), Gabriella Mead (The Deep Woods), and newcomers Jesse Contente, Dan Grogan, Abbie-Rose Attaya, Wyatt Easterling, and Loren Swan.
Mutilator 2 promises to “bring together modern horror and a taste of the ’80s fun that fans loved from the original”. A release date has yet to be announced, but we’ll let you know as soon as any release information is made available.
