Directed by Danny Villanueva Jr., who also crafted the screenplay with J. Anthony Ramos, I Dream of a Psychopomp has the following synopsis: A widower haunted by the distressed ghost of his recently deceased wife is visited in his dreams by a psychopomp who teaches him about the spirit world and soul guiding through stories of death and the supernatural.
The film stars Jillian Lebling, Ben Shaul, Elohim Peña, Steven Alonte, Kulani Kai, Fiona Rose, Peter Knox, N. Meridian, Byron Daniel Bishop, Dan Davies, H. Adoni Esho, Travis Greene, Beth Johnson, Eshan Khalani, Coda Li Marcus, Easton Michaels, Jay Rattle, David James Slama, Katelin Stack, Olivia Tennison, Reinhold Von Bolt, and Villanueva himself.
I Dream of a Psychopomp was the feature directorial debut for Villanueva, who previously made short films with interesting titles like Last Year’s Halloween Candy, Greg the Grouchy Gremlin, and Jason Voorsneeze. He has also worked as a cinematographer, editor, sound designer, boom operator, and visual effects artist.
