Marvel Leak Spoils Daredevil and Kingpin's Next MCU Appearance

A new leak seems to spoil the next Marvel Cinematic Universe appearance for Vincent D'Onofrio's Wilson Fisk/Kingpin and Charlie Cox's Matt Murdock/Daredevil.

The resume for costume designer Stacy Caballero lists not only Alaqua Cox but also D'Onofrio and Cox under the listing for Echo, the Hawkeye spinoff that's headed to Disney+.

Maya Lopez/Echo was introduced in Hawkeye and was eventually revealed to be the niece of Fisk, who similarly made his proper MCU debut in the Disney+ series. The finale saw Echo shoot her uncle from point-blank range, leaving his fate unclear. "I hope he didn't die," D'Onofrio said after the Hawkeye finale. "I'm with the fans, I want to keep playing this part. My hope is that we continue."

As for Cox, his Matt Murdock made the jump to the MCU in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which saw him play Peter Parker's attorney in a cameo role that was spoiled months in advance. In the time since then, talks of a Disney+ reboot have circulated, though nothing has been set in stone. "I wouldn't put it past the folks at Marvel to be able to accomplish that," Cox said of adapting the tone of Daredevil to the current MCU. "I'm such a fan of everything they've done so far, I wouldn't underestimate them at all. So if they wanted to make a more PG version of Daredevil, I back them to find a way to do it where it feels totally in keeping with everything we've done. And maybe there's a little less blood, maybe there's a little whatever, but I back them to do it."

Little is known about Echo at this time, though it's worth noting Daredevil Season 3 writer Dara Resnik is among those penning the Disney+ series.

"She's amazing," Marvel Studios President and Marvel Chief Content Officer Kevin Feige previously said of Cox while discussing how Hawkeye leads right into Echo. "I can't wait for people who've seen the first two episodes to have seen a very brief moment. It will be fun to see the audience discover Maya over the course of this series and then in her own series later. As announced on Disney+ Day last week, the Echo series will be -- we see Maya Lopez go from the end of this series into that series will be the next direct link."

Echo has yet to receive a premiere date.
