Star Wars fans believe The Book of Boba Fett's Temuera Morrison was in the first trailer for Disney+'s Obi-Wan Kenobi.
One of the shots from the trailer sees the Grand Inquisitor spinning his lightsaber in front of an individual with his back turned to the camera. One fan, in particular, juxtaposed a still shot next to one of Boba Fett from Season 2 of The Mandalorian, writing, "THERES NO WAY THATS NOT TEM."
The shapes of the heads and the overall silhouettes are indeed similar. However, the individual in the Kenobi trailer is fitted with some sort of device on the back of their head, leading many fans to believe it isn't Boba Fett but rather one of the clone troopers, who share the same DNA as Boba since they were all created from Jango Fett. Rebels -- the same show that introduced the Inquisitors that will factor into Kenobi -- revealed a select few clones removed their inhibitor chips and avoided succumbing to Emperor Palpatine's will when he ordered the troopers to execute Order 66.
Though Morrison just wrapped what's expected to be the only season of The Book of Boba Fett, he's made it no secret that he'd be open to playing clones in live-action again after portraying them in Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. "Well, there are people -- I'm thinking of Captain Rex for one," he explained. "He looks a little like me. There's Commander Cody. What happened to those guys? There's all those clone armies. That could be something fresh and new and exciting."
Obi-Wan Kenobi takes place between the events of Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, with Ewan McGregor's exiled Jedi watching over Luke Skywalker on Tatooine. Conflict will arise, however, as the Inquisitors do the Empire's bidding by hunting down any Jedi who evaded Order 66. One of those Inquisitors is Moses Ingram's Reva, who's described as "ruthlessly ambitious." The actor also noted that she, the Grand Inquisitor and Darth Vader "share a common dark-side goal. They're on the same team."
Obi-Wan Kenobi premieres May 25 on Disney+.
