10 Strongest Marvel Villains Red Hood Could Beat | CBR

Red Hood has walked a long road back to heroism. After his death at the hands of the Joker, Jason Todd returned as the Red Hood. He terrorized Batman and Gotham City for a time before finally rejoining the Bat-Family. Since then, he's proven to be a great hero, using skills taught to him by Batman and Talia al Ghul to become one of the greatest hand-to-hand combatants in the DCU.

He's fought it out with some of the toughest DC villains and won. Marvel's villains can be a formidable lot but Red Hood would be able to beat some of the deadliest villains on their roster.

10 Silver Samurai Would Challenge Red Hood

Silver Samurai is one of the most skilled swordsmen in comics. His mutant powers allow him to channel energy through his sword, allowing it to cut through nearly anything. He's an expert martial artist and his armor gives him a lot of protection. He would give Red Hood a great challenge but in the end, Red Hood's varied offense will get him the win.

Red Hood is no dummy. He isn't going to try to swordfight Silver Samurai or anything like that. He'll change the fight up on the martial artist, using his greater skill with other weapons to get an advantage and defeat the bladed-weapons expert.

9 Grim Reaper's Not Nearly As Skilled As Red Hood

Grim Reaper is an important villain in Avengers' history. The brother of Wonder Man, Grim Reaper has come back to life many times but other than that, he's not much on his own. His scythe is a powerful weapon but it's also unwieldy. Its ability to fire energy blasts is potent but Red Hood is too good to be hit by his clumsy attacks.

Grim Reaper can be tough but he's died a lot. He's not exactly the best fighter in the world, so Red Hood shouldn't have much trouble with him. He'll be able to avoid Reaper's shots, get in close, and take him down.

8 Red Hood Would Have Fun Beating On Crossbones

Crossbones is a henchmen's henchman, working mostly for Red Skull and his daughter Sin. He's a skilled combatant and has even fought Captain America rather effectively, even if he's rarely won. Red Hood would take one look at Crossbones and want to take him out just to prove he could.

Crossbones is good but Red Hood has him beat in just about every category. Not only is he more skilled but he's a lot smarter. Crossbones knows what he's doing but he's not one for creative thinking. Red Hood will use that to his advantage, although as skilled as he is, it's doubtful he'd need to work very hard against Crossbones.

7 Hobgoblin Would Push Red Hood To His Limits

The mantle of the Hobgoblin has been passed back and forth over the years. The only thing these villains have in common is the costume and the weapons. Some of them have super strength and some don't. Any of them would be a good challenge for Red Hood but in the end, he'd still win. Even the ones with super strength would find him difficult to overcome.

Beating Hobgoblin's goblin glider would take a little thinking from Red Hood but he's proven to be a great strategist. He's smart enough to out-think Batman at times, so Hobgoblin shouldn't be all that hard and in a fight Red Hood is more skilled than any of these deadly Spider-foes.

6 Red Hood And Batroc The Leaper Would Have A Great Fight

Captain America's villains are a diverse lot and one of the most underrated is Batroc the Leaper. A master of the French martial art Savate, Batroc is a highly skilled mercenary who is a challenge for even a super-soldier. Red Hood would relish the chance to fight someone as skilled as Batroc and they would have an epic battle.

Red Hood and Batroc are rather well-matched but Hood has a more diverse skill set. That's what's going to win the fight for him. As the battle goes on longer, he's going to dip into his bag of tricks and take down his opponent with his wider range of fighting techniques (and guns).

5 Mystique's Shapeshifting Wouldn't Help Her Beat Red Hood

Mystique is one of the most dangerous mutants on the planet. Her variety of skills combined with her shapeshifting has made her one of the best mercenaries around. She'd certainly challenge Red Hood but her biggest advantage in a fight, her shapeshifting, isn't going to be much help. Sure, it will give her a chance to strike when he least expects it but she doesn't have any kind of skill advantage over Red Hood.

This conflict would devolve into a game of cat and mouse, one where Mystique would have a bit of an advantage. However, Red Hood would move the fight into a place where her shapeshifting wouldn't matter and in a straight-up fight he'd take her out.

4 Kingpin Would Meet His Match In Red Hood

Kingpin is one of Marvel's most dangerous crime lords. He's a master planner with the resources to make just about any scheme a reality and is a formidable combatant. He's a sumo master and a mountain of muscle. Red Hood has beaten a lot of crime lords but Kingpin would test him to his limits.

Luckily, Red Hood is at his best when the chips are down. He'll fight his way to Kingpin and engage the crime lord. When Red Hood realizes just how devastatingly strong and skilled Kingpin is, he'll change things up on the crime boss. Red Hood is a much better fighter than Kingpin and in end, that would see him to victory.

3 Kraven The Hunter And Red Hood Would Have A Great Fight

Kraven the Hunter had done a lot of damage to Spider-Man over the years. He's obsessed with proving that he's better than the Wall-Crawler but has also battled other heroes. He's a formidable opponent and beating someone as skilled as Red Hood would be a major boost for his reputation. Things aren't that easy, though.

Red Hood's hand-to-hand combat skills are much greater than Kraven's. The Hunter is stronger and faster, though, so that would help even things up. It would be a knock down, drag out fight but Red Hood would fight smarter than Kraven. He's the more mobile fighter and in the end, that's going to give Red Hood the win.

2 Bullseye Has Never Fought Anyone Like Red Hood

Bullseye's marksmanship and his uncanny ability to use anything as a weapon have served him well over the years. He's fought Daredevil to a standstill but he's never fought anyone as violent as Red Hood. That's one place where the two of them are a match for each other. While Red Hood has eschewed killing lately, he still doesn't have a problem with a little bit of the old ultra-violence.

Bullseye isn't used to facing someone who can match his savagery. Red Hood can be as brutal as any villain and fighting Bullseye will bring that out. He'll overwhelm the assassin but stop just short of killing him.

1 Sabretooth's Healing Factor Won't Save Him From Red Hood

Sabretooth is one of Wolverine's greatest enemies. He can take as much punishment as he can dish out and his healing factor can keep him in the fight for a long time. He's fast, strong, and skilled but he can still be knocked out. His healing factor is great but his breakable bones are what prevent him from being a tank like Wolverine.

That's going to be the key to victory for Red Hood. He doesn't carry many weapons that Sabretooth's healing factor can easily heal. He's an agile fighter and his new weapons, the crow bar and stun baton, are perfect for taking down someone like Sabretooth. He can bludgeon the savage mutant into unconsciousness.
