(SPOT.ph) Back in the day, it was commonplace to capture memories with the use of a film camera—that meant heading out of the house to have your photos developed, not knowing for weeks how they would turn out, and eventually storing them in a photo album. These days, you can memorialize any moment with a quick tap on a smartphone, but that doesn't mean folks have totally given up on film photography. Many a millenial and Gen Zer enjoys snapping photos with the the help of basic point-and-shoots as well as instant-print cameras. If you've been looking for ways to capture photos the old-fashioned way, here's a device worth considering: Fujifilm's new Instax Link Wide lets you turn your smartphone pics into pocket-sized keepsakes!

The Instax Link Wide is a portable smartphone printer that can turn your digital pics into physical photographs with that signature Instax look complete with the old-school filter and the #aesthetic white border. Though the brand has released portable printers in the past, this model is the first to print photos in a wide size with a landscape orientation rather than the smaller portrait pictures commonly associated with popular Instax Mini cameras.
Here’s how it works: All you have to do is connect the device to your phone via Bluetooth, choose the pics you love most, and you can print them out in an instant. The physical photograph is about the size of two credit cards laid side by side. The landscape orientation allows you to capture wider shots—perfect for scenic locations and group pics.
While film photos always have a vintage look to them, this device does give them a futuristic twist. You can customize your pics with QR Print Mode, which lets you add a QR code to your photos that can contain hidden messages, voice clips, location information, and even URLs—just in case you want to remember the moment with more than just visuals. You can also recolor your photos, add text and stickers, or even make collages out of them before printing.
Here's how your smartphone pics would look when you print them with the Instax Link Wide:
The Instax Link Wide is available on Lazada, Shopee, Wonder Photo Shop, and at Fujifilm Instax retailers nationwide. It's compatible with Instax Wide film packs, which retail for P660 a set. Each printer comes with one free pack of film.
