(SPOT.ph) Getting the chance to design your home can be both bad and good: bad if you have no idea where to start, good if you've been waiting for the day to finally get your own space and make it your own. B&B Italia, a furniture company that's been around since 1966, hopes to inspire with a celebration of their era-defining pieces through the Icons Anthology Exhibition. The restrospective show runs until the end of December at the B&B Italia Manila Showroom at Twenty-Four Seven McKinley in Bonifacio Global City.

Here's what you should know about B&B Italia Manila's Icons Anthology Exhibition:
More than placing together furniture pieces in a showroom, the Icons Anthology Exhibition puts the spotlight on international furniture designers, including Piero Lissoni, Patricia Urquiola, Mario Bellini, Antonio Citterio, and Naoto Fukasawa. It also looks back at the major milestones of B&B Italia in its 55-year history.
Back in the 1950s, the Italian furniture industry was wholly dependent on handicraft production, which limits the shape, materials, and even output turnaround. But Piero Ambrogio Busnelli found a way to industrialize this process after being inspired by the machine-driven production of toy ducks out of cold polyurethane foam. Since then, B&B Italia has always been focused on experimental and research-driven processes and products. The rest, as they say, is history.
The B&B Italia Manila Icons Anthology Exhibition runs until December 31 at Twenty-Four Seven McKinley, 24th Street corner 7th Avenue, Bonifacio Global City. You can schedule your visit through 8705-9999. For more information, follow B&B Italia Manila on Facebook or visit B&B Italia Manila's website.
