(SPOT.ph) If you've been anywhere near Twitter in the past few hours you're sure to be very much aware that it is currently Swifties territory. Taylor Swift just dropped a new version—as in, Taylor's Version—of her Red album and people have responded accordingly. In other words, there's a collective emotional breakdown happening online today, November 12.

Swift dropped the original 16 tracks, re-recorded, along with the bonus songs from the 2012 album’s deluxe edition, and some brand-new never-before-heard tracks. She brought in more than just the OG, too; think Phoebe Bridgers, Chris Stapleton, Ed Sheeran—and even a 10-minute version of the absolute emotional banger "All Too Well."  If you're not part of the group that cleared their schedules for a listening-slash-crying session today, there are high chances that you have no idea what's going on over on Twitter. Wondering why Jake Gyllenhaal's name is all over the Twitterverse right? We keep you up to date.

Jake Gyllenhaal Becomes Public Enemy No. 1 on Twitter After Red (Taylor's Version) Rerelease

TL;DR: Jake Gyllenhaal and Taylor Swift once dated—and you can pretty much guess from there. Whispers are—okay well, pretty much confirmed by the new 10-minute version—that "All Too Well" is about her relationship with Gyllenhaal. And so are a bunch of other tracks on the album, the pointedly titled "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together" included.

Now we don't know what goes down in Taytay's massive mind, really, so we can't say she knew this would happen—but Jake Gyllenhaal's name really made an impression on Twitter after the release. There were very, erm, differing moods directed toward the Hollywood actor, from people lamenting a high-profile relationship they weren't a part of—not an attack, we promise—to their own relationships—also not an attack—and more. One thing that was uniform though? The meme-ability.

Whatever your thoughts on this narrative, we can all agree somebody should probably check up on Gyllenhaal. And if that's not something you can do, well you can at least check out some of the funniest tweets on it below.
