Burrow CafĂ©’s moniker ingeniously takes after the fact that it’s an underground spot, semi-hidden within creative space and events venue Antipolo Beehouse. They open 8 a.m. onwards from Wednesdays to Sundays, so you can get your fix of their all-day breakfast eats first thing in the morning! You can go for leveled-up takes on familiar Filipino eats like the Tender Beef Tapa and the Adlai Caldo, or start your day on a sweet note with the Nutella Pancakes with Cinnamon Cream—the choice is up to you!

If you’ve ever dreamed of having your first meal in a rustic oasis where eclectic art pieces meet vibrant greenery, consider trooping over to Crescent Moon Cafe? This pottery haven-slash-eatery opens from 9 a.m. from Wednesdays to Sundays, and it’s well worth visiting in the morning too if you’re looking to reclaim your inner zen. Granted, they don’t have a dedicated breakfast menu, but we are well acquainted with having full meals for breakfast or brunch anyway. Their lineup is peppered with Southeast Asian influences; some highlights are their fresh and bright Alagao (P360/good for two to three), an assemble-it-yourself salad of sorts with ingredients like basil, coconut, chili, shrimp, green mango, peanut sauce, and more in alagao leaves; and the Steamed Fish in Tamarind Sauce (P660) that’s got delicate white fish in a tangy Vietnamese-style sauce. They’ve also got rice meals you can’t go wrong with, like the Beef Rendang (P340) and Lemongrass Pork Belly (P340). Of course, you can always go for one of their kakanin, like the nutty-meets-fruity Suman at Mangga (P150) and earthy Suman Itim (P120).
