Sur-Fries: Jollibee Brings Back Their Crisscut Fries

(SPOT.ph) Not all fries are created equal. There are the regular, straight-cut fries that tempt with their crisp, salty exteriors and fluffy interiors; there are curly fries that go for a more spiced flavor profile and fun spiral shape. And then there are waffle fries—a.k.a. fries that are shaped such that they've got a loosely oval form with a lattice cut, making for a higher surface area that gives you an A+ ratio of crisp outsides and soft insides. Jollibee has their own version dubbed the Crisscut Fries, which is a seasonal item only available for limited periods of time on certain years. Well, that time has come for 2021: Yup, their Crisscut Fries are now making a spud-tasting comeback!

Jollibee is bringing back their Crisscut Fries and here's what you should know:

Jollibee's Crisscut Fries (P65/solo, P249/bucket) hardly need an introduction; they're famed for their waffle-esque cut and mildly spiced flavor that makes them so dang addictive even just taken on their own. But if you go for the bucket option, you can also try them with dips: Choose from the classic sour cream for a lush and tangy bite, or the spicy thousand island for a kick of heat! Try them with Jollibee's Yumburger so you can alternate between bites of meaty and zesty; or do what we'd do and have it alongside their Chocolate Sundae Twirl and get dipping.

Its criss-cut form gives these fries a crispier bite, plus it's got a more peppery, spiced kick versus regular fries.
