You Can Try Squid Game's Honeycomb Game at This QC Restaurant

We're sure you've watched it by now, or have at least heard of Squid Game, the brutal South Korean series taking Netflix by storm. You've seen memes of the gigantic creepy doll, all types of talk about a Pinoy version (as Slater Young pointed out, it's reminiscent of PBB), and maybe even had a weird itching to join the games, hopefully without having your life at stake. And it looks like you just might be able to!

One of the games played in Squid Game is the honeycomb challenge, where the players have to carve a certain shape out of a honeycomb disc called ppopogi using a needle. One restaurant in Quezon City has set up their own version of the game with essentially the same rules, just with a very different prize and punishment at stake.

This Quezon City restaurant has a Squid Game-inspired honeycomb game:

Korean-Japanese BBQ resto Hodai is offering the honeycomb challenge at a price! Full-paying adult customers who order the restaurant's Daebag Set (P599/head) will get four boxes containing the dalgona candy with a shape on it. You will have to blindly choose a box and if you manage to cleanly trim the candy—using only your tongue, cold water, and a toothpick, according to the restaurant—you can get your Daebag set for free. 

Wondering what's at stake? Not your life, for sure, though your cholesterol might take a hit. Hodai Restaurant's Daebag set includes unlimited pork, unlimited beef, unlimited shrimp, unlimited sashimi, unlimited sushi, unlimited side dishes, and unlimited sauces.
