(SPOT.ph) After opening resort destinations like Phuket and Samui in July, Thailand is getting ready for their tourism recovery plan starting on October 1. An announcement by the Tourism Authority of Thailand following their meeting with Centre for COVID-19 Situation Administration on September 27 revealed the details of their four-phase timeline for reopening.

Thailand Travel Requirements (as of September 27):
Quarantine for fully vaccinated international tourists is also shortened to seven days from the initial 14 days. However, Phuket—which has been following the Sandbox model for two months now—implements quarantine-free travel as long as tourists stay on the island for seven days. They're also required to undergo RT-PCR testing twice.
"The first time is between Day 0 and Day 1, which is the first day they arrive. The second time is between Day 6 and Day 7,” said CCSA spokesperson Taweesin Visanuyothin during a press conference on Monday.
International travelers who are not fully vaccinated are still required to undergo full quarantine: 10 days if they entered Thailand by sea or by air, and 14 days if they entered the country by land.
