Quarantine restrictions in Metro Manila were eased to modified enhanced commmunity quarantine starting August 21, Malacañang said on August 19, following a two-week long enhanced community quarantine to slow the spread of COVID-19 Delta variant. On August 21, Malls in Metro Manila released adjusted operating hours for the modified enhanced commmunity quarantine that will last for 10 days until August 31.
Most retail stores will be open at limited capacity. Indoor and outdoor dining is still banned and spas, while salons and gyms will remain shut.
