(SPOT.ph) With the threat of the Delta variant, our slow vaccination rollout, and your usual government...errrr...response, it's as if our country's only hope now is a miracle. Fortunately, it's the month of August and the famous Perseids meteor shower is expected to occur in the late evening and early morning hours from August 12 to 13.

According to to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration, at least 50 or more meteors are expected to be seen during peak time, which means 50 or more wishes for this sh*t to end.

The Perseids meteor shower radiates out from the constellation Perseus. To find it, just look at the eastern horizon on August 13 at 1 a.m. The waxing gibbous Moon, however, might result in fainter meteors because of the extra light in the night sky. But if you're extra lucky, you might see one or two wishing stars.
