The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) will close its physical offices to registrants during the two-week lockdown, Spokesperson James Jimenez added.
"To be clear, voter registration will be suspended beginning August 6, or the same day the enhanced community quarantine (ECQ) takes effect. [Until] then, puwede pang #MagparehistroKa," he said.
COMELEC is unlikely to extend the voter's registration, which will end on September 30, said Jimenez. Senator Risa Hontiveros earlier urged the commission to extend the registration period to two more weeks.
