(SPOT.ph) Italian shoe brand Superga has been around since 1911 and is best known for their classic tennis-style canvas sneakers. In the century since its inception, the label has managed to maintain its timeless appeal with understated styles fit for a wide variety of style profiles, making them a popular pick for both casual sneaker lovers and diehard fashionistas. Today, August 13, Superga officially launched their collaboration with model and media personality Hailey Bieber. The brand’s Fall/Winter 2021 campaign is all about effortless elegance and laid-back, girl-next-door attitude.
With Bieber as its official ambassador, Superga’s Fall/Winter 2021 campaign embraces youthfulness and positive energy with modern takes on their beloved pairs. "Superga is a brand that has withstood the test of time. The classic styles and sustainability of the brand make it a closet staple," says Bieber—and her words ring true even as the brand updates their old-school silhouettes. We’re eyeing two pairs from the collaboration in particular, both of which maintain the brand’s classic appeal while offering a more distinct aesthetic as well as added functionality.

Perhaps the pair that first comes to mind when you think of Superga is the ubiquitous Cotu Classic sneaker, which sports a no-frills silhouette, low-top design, and simple rubber sole. These 2790 Tank Sneakers feature many of the same understated, thoughtfully made details you would see on the Cotu, but made more distinct with a thick heel—perfect for those of you who wouldn't mind adding a few extra inches to your height. The shoe is finished off with a crepe-textured outsole, punctuating the all-white exterior.
If you're looking for something with a little more attitude and edginess, check out the soon-to-release 2481 Alpina Ripstop Sneakers. The statement shoe features a high-top cut that extends until the ankle, a chunky toothed sole, an off-white canvas exterior, and subtle orange accents. Though much more daring compared to other styles you might associate with Superga, the Alpina Ripstop is still wearable enough to match pretty much any outfit.
