(SPOT.ph) When the Department of Foreign Affairs announced on July 6 that five sites for passport renewal had opened in Metro Manila, people were quick to log in to book appointments and slots ran out within minutes. If you were one of the lucky ones who got one of the 500 slots per day per site, you may have to wait again if your appointment falls between August 6 and 20. The government agency is suspending all Temporary Off-Site Passport Services in the National Capital Region during the Enhanced Community Quarantine.

Closed sites include SM Mall of Asia, SM North EDSA, SM Aura, Robinsons Place Las Piñas, and Robinsons Magnolia. Passport applicants affected by the temporary closure will receive separate email advisories regarding their new appointment schedule. Those with emergency and urgent medical travel needs may send an email to oca.cl@dfa.gov.ph, according to the agency. Possession of a flight ticket alone, however, is not considered urgent.
