This QC Mall Has Lockers Where You Can Store Bags While Shopping

(SPOT.ph) These days, folks in the Metro are heading to the mall much less than they used to—for obvious reasons—but those who do manage to go every once in a while make it a point to do everything they need to while they're there, squeezing in every necessary errand to make the most of the trip. That can mean eating to your heart's content, shopping everything on your wish list, and picking up everything you need from the supermarket for the next few weeks, and so on.

While it seems a necessary routine change, it's also one that can be pretty tiring, especially if you find yourself lugging around tons of shopping bags as the hours go by. Luckily, malls in Metro Manila have continuously been making changes amid the pandemic to help give shoppers a safer and more convenient experience. Robinsons Magnolia in Quezon City, for their part, just launched their new QUBE 24/7 Smart Lockers—a lifesaver for anyone who spends all day at the mall.

As you might expect, these lockers were primarily put up to give shoppers and mall-goers a place to safely store shopping bags, allowing them to explore the mall further and finish other errands with no fuss—but they're much more than just that. The QUBE Lockers can also be used to receive parcels. For example, if you live a little further south and need to receive a package sent to you from up north, you can have it delivered to a locker in Robinsons Magnolia while you’re there and just grab it before you head home. The lockers can also serve as a laundry drop-off and pick-up area. You can head to the mall with a bag full of dirty clothes, leave it in a rented lockes, go about your errands and mall plans as you normally would, then pick up your clean clothes later on.

To use the lockers, all you have to do is download the Box24 app (available for free on for iOS and Android) on your smarphone and sign up for an account. As of writing, the Philippine version of the app has two options, namely "wash" and "drop." The former option, as its name suggests, is for folks who want to avail of the laundry service. You can choose from three options: Same-Day Pick-Up, Next-Day Pick-Up, and Deluxe Express (a five-hour service).

Select the latter if you plan on dropping off items for storage. You can choose from three parcel sizes: Small (14 cm x 42 cm x 60 cm), which is available for P30 per day, medium (29 cm x 42 cm x 60 cm), which goes for P40 per day, and large (45 cm x 20 cm x 60 cm), which you can rent for P50 per day.

Whether you're storing items or availing of the laundry service, the Box24 app will let you know how many lockers are currently available in each size and you can choose how many days you'll need to rent the storage space. Once you're all set, the app provides a barcode, which can be scanned on the smart locker's barcode scanner, or a pin code, that you can enter on the locker's pin system. Both codes are unique to each new locker reservation, which means you won't have to worry about losing your belongings. The lockers even have their own CCCTV for security and monitoring.

The QUBE 24/7 Smart Lockers can be found at G/F, Tower A, Robinsons Magnolia, Quezon City.
