(SPOT.ph) On July 17, Filipino artist Kevin Eric Raymundo (better known as Tarantadong Kalbo) posted an image entitled Tumindig online. The graphic illustration showed rows and rows of anthropomorphic fists bowing down in obedience with the exeception of one standing its ground (a.k.a. tumitindig). Following the release of the image, local artists, writers, and other activists added their own customized fist-shaped illustrations to stand alongside the original in solidarity.
The image went viral and Raymundo even released a blank version of the avatar, allowing Internet users to create their own iterations of the Tumindig icon—even public figures like Chel Diokno joined in. Now, over a week since the OG Tumindig icon’s first release, the artwork continues to make waves online and get shared across social media platforms. In fact, local artist Gino Roberto, best known for making custom Funko Pops, created a Tumindig Art Toy inspired by the illustration.

Roberto shared a rendering of the toy on July 26 through his Facebook page, announcing its availability for pre-order. According to the post, the limited-edition toy stands at three inches tall, is handcrafted and made of resin material, and comes with its own box. It sports Raymundo's original all-white fist design, complete with an indignant expression and molded into a three-dimensional figure. And yes, the miniature figure is Tarantadong Kalbo-approved—the original illustrator even shared the post on his own Facebook page.
The completed Tumindig Art Toys are expected to arrive by September. You can pre-order now through the Gino Roberto Custom Figures Facebook page for P1,500 with a required P500 downpayment. Part of the proceeds will benefit the Philippine Animation Workers Association.
