(SPOT.ph) It’s easy to take things for granted when they’re so familiar and ubiquitous, but it’s always worth taking a step back to appreciate Filipino cuisine. With a long history and a diverse range of dishes that span different influences, flavor profiles, and cooking techniques, it’s a cuisine that is as rich and intricate in detail as it is accessible and easy to love for every Juan—especially when your meal involves a steaming-hot bowl of rice.

Though some might argue that the best Filipino fare is that cooked at home, some establishments have truly standout takes on classic dishes or one-of-a-kind twists that make you see the cuisine in a whole new light—and we’ve rounded them up in this list. They deliver or allow for delivery, too, so you don’t even have to leave the house to get your fix.
