(SPOT.ph) You've officially made it through the first half of 2021, Spotters—it does't hurt to take a break for a bit with a creamy sip from Starbucks. We're sure you already have your go-to at the coffee chain, but it's worth changing it up once in a while—and if you're a fan of the distinctive, aromatic flavor of vanilla bean, you're in for a treat. Starbucks is debuting two new drinks that'll remind you of your favorite cream puffs or eclairs: Dubbed the Choux Cream Frappuccinos, these beverages will be available for a limited time starting June 8!
Check out the newest drinks from Starbucks:
Like it fruity? Go for the Strawberry Choux Cream Frappuccino (P165/Tall, P180/Grande, P195/Venti), which has a base of ice, milk, and a vanilla-bean custard sauce plus fresh strawberry chunks and comes topped with a vanilla-bean custard-flavored whipped cream and graham cracker crumbs. If you're more for the bittersweet profile of chocolate, try the Chocolate Choux Cream Frappuccino (P165/Tall, P180/Grande, P195/Venti), which has their creamy vanilla-bean custard sauce, milk, and ice blended together, then layered between mocha sauce, vanilla-bean custard-flavored whipped cream, and crumbly graham cracker bits.
To go with the new drinks, Starbucks has new eats in their lineup, too. You can balance out the sweetness of your drink withwith the Cheesy Bun (P105), a bun filled with cream cheese, cheddar, and parmesan. Alternatively, try the savory-sweet Corn Fritter (P65), or deep-fried doughnut clusters with sweet corn kernels and given a sugar glaze.
Going meatless? Vegetarians can check out the Savory Mighty Muffin (P155) studded with vegetables, a sauteed and ground plant-based patty, and a cream-cheese filling. There's the vegan-friendly Baked Ziti, too, their take on the classic with a savory ground patty, plant-based sauce, and plant-based cheese.
Your sweet tooth also is in for a treat with their new cakes. The Blackout Cake (P195/slice, P1,575/whole) is a dark and dashing treat made with Belgian chocolate, while the Chocolate Chip Mousse Cheesecake (P205/slice, P1995/whole) is the answer to those times when you can't choose between a cookie and a cheesecake. Meanwhile, the flavors of green tea and blueberry make sweet love in the picturesque Green Tea Berry Crepe Cake (price upon request).
The new drinks and food items will be available at Starbucks stores starting June 8. If you can't head out, you'll be happy to know that you can also get them delivered via GrabFood—just keep in mind that prices will vary.
