Align Pilates Cebu

As the pandemic hit, fitness studios and workout classes either had to temporarily close or find ways to bring the sessions online. The latter was the case with Tantan Fortich, who decided to offer her private pilates classes online. A certified Pilates instructor, Fortich takes the time to carefully learn about each of her client’s goals, history, injuries, and limitations. From these classes, expect small and repetitive movements that will develop your strength and improve your posture and alignment. Since it’s a one-on-one session, she easily adjusts the pace and difficulty on a need basis, making it feel like a personal coach is watching over your progress. She even recently started offering pre-natal and post-natal classes after seeing the lack of proper fitness programs for pregnant women. Group classes may also be booked. Rates usually start at P500 for classes that last from 45 minutes to an hour.

Align Pilates Cebu is held via Zoom or Skype. To book a class or for more inquiries, you can contact them through their Instagram page.

Sometimes, all you need is the perfect Instagrammable workout equipment to get you moving. Inspired by the concept of “Kaizen,” which means “continuous improvement,” Via Noel, Dean Reyes, and Shay Omega decided to open their own online shop to inspire everyone to stay active and healthy, especially during the new normal. They offer Cebu’s first-ever Round Yoga Mats (P2,999), which come in aesthetically minimalist designs called “the Gaea Series.” It is inspired by the forces of nature—sea, earth, wind, and sun.

The round design has a thickness of 3 mm and a diameter of 140 cm. It not only looks good, but also allows more movement by giving you more space compared to its rectangular counterparts. It also makes use of a textured suede-like upper and a rubber base to minimize slipping. Designed by the owners themselves, they are also versatile, as they may be used for yoga, floor exercises, jump rope drills, and even as your beach or picnic mat! Kai.co also sells regular TPE yoga mats (P1,299), beginner-friendly jump ropes (P199), and 5 Piece Resistance bands (P450). All their products are subject to availability and may be delivered nationwide.

Kai.co is at Maryville Subdivision, Talamban, Cebu City. For orders and deliveries, check out their Instagram or Facebook page.

Enchantherese

For those who want to explore the interaction between crystals and our body’s chakras, Enchantherese is your go-to. Maria Orosio started her brand after personally experiencing the benefits of crystals in an effort to share these positive effects with others. With a starting price of P150, you can choose among her variety of crystals.

Like most healing-modality practitioners, Orosio believes that crystals choose their humans. Thus, she provides a wide set of tumbled stones, allowing you to choose which benefit you seek at a particular moment. The Clear Quartz, known as the “Master Healer,” amplifies energy and intention, while the Rose Quartz, or the “Stone of Unconditional Love,” attracts compassion, love, and forgiveness. Citrine, on the other hand, helps attract wealth, success, and prosperity. Enchantherese also provides a comprehensive explanation for each of her crystals on her social media pages.

Enchantherese is at Makers at Dear Paper in Bonifacio District, F. Cabahug Street, Cebu City. For orders and deliveries, check out their Instagram or Facebook.
