(SPOT.ph) Glaiza de Castro was able to get her first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine on June 12, right on Indepence Day. The celebrity shared a picture on Twitter along with a call for folks not to be scared of the vaccine. "Kung natatakot ka, wag ka mag aalala, oks pa naman ako," she shared.

De Castro followed up her vaccine tweet with even more assurance for those hesitant to get the vaccine—this time regarding a truly unexpected side effect. Someone on Twitter asked whether she felt anything, and it looks like even Pirena wasn't immune to the effects.

No fevers for De Castro! Only a sudden urge to deep-clean her home. We wish we could find the energy for that, too. To make the already cheeky reply even better, fellow celeb and Twitter queen Alesandra de Rossi had the best reply.

We don't know if there are enough coconut husks in the world for all of EDSA but we appreciate the ambition! As of the latest reports, local governments have already begun with the A4 priority group—workers required to leave their homes for their job—which means more have been able to get their doses. Several celebrities have also gotten their jabs abroad or through the private sector while others were able to register with their cities.

As of writing, the Vaccine Queue Calculator site estimates that around 5 million vaccines have been given in the past few months. Our goal of vaccinating 70 million Filipinos sure still feels far away. But fingers crossed celebs are able to push naysayers to get the vaccine!

Newly minted IRL couple Maris Racal and Rico Blanco were also inoculated on Independence Day. Angel Locsin's parents were given the vaccine in April as senior citizens. Jolina Magdangal was able to get it through the Quezon City government. Check out which celebs have gotten their first dose below.
