Coming Soon: Lechon Baka From Rico's Lechon

(SPOT.ph) Having gone viral on social media in the past couple of weeks, the love for lechon baka—a.k.a. Filipino-style roasted beef or calf—continues on, with many Filipinos still ordering it when they can and even using it to make other spinoff dishes like sandwiches or ramen. Now if there's anyone who knows how to make a great Filipin-style roast, it's Cebuano lechon spot Rico's Lechon—and they're joining in the lechon baka party as they're debuting their own version of the dish on July 1!

There's a new lechon baka in town, and here's what you need to know:

Rico's Lechon's Lechon Baka is roasted beef that they slice by hand, and this is said to help keep its juiciness intact. And while it's got a smoky profile by itself, you can also pair it with their homemade vinegar dubbed the SukaLami! For small meals, you can go for the Junior size (P350) that's good for one to two; but if you're sharing with the fam, go for the Fiesta size (P1,350/good for six to eight). It also comes in a Spicy variation (P380/Junior, P1,460/Fiesta) in case you like your roast with a touch of heat.

We know you're excited, so save the date on your calendar: The Lechon Baka will be available starting July 1 at selected Rico's Lechon branches—namely their BGC, Tiendesitas, and U.P. Town Center stores. But you can also preorder for pickup and delivery by giving them a call. Rico's Lechon will also soon be selling a frozen version of the Lechon Baka that you can stash in your freezer and reheat as you please—we'll keep you posted!

Rico's Lechon is a Cebuano establishment known for their crisp-on-the-outside, melt-in-your-mouth take on the Filipino roast-pork dish known as lechon. In 2018, they also opened their first branch in Manila, and they've expanded to open more stores around the Metro ever since.

Rico's Lechon has branches at The Fort Strip, Bonifacio Global City and G/F Phase 2, UP Town Center, Katipunan Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City. See a list of Rico's Lechon branches. For preorders, contact 0917-814-4678, 0918-888-0555, or 7799-0810. For more information, check out Rico's Lechon's Facebook page.
