(SPOT.ph) French leatherware brand Longchamp is best known for their Le Pliage line. The origami-inspired bag was first introduced in 1993 and remains a popular go-to handbag for people of all ages and style profiles thanks to its versatile design—it can be paired with pretty much any outfit—and wide range of colors and materials. Another line in Longchamp's stockpile that has stood the test of time is the Le Foulonné.

While perhaps less widely known than the Le Pliage, the Longchamp Le Foulonné was actually introduced almost two decades prior in 1978 and its name comes from the French word for "drummed," referring to the technique by which the leather is passed through a rotating drum to soften it and reveal its natural grain, resulting in the kind of leather that only gets better with age. As a result, the Le Foulonné line's various styles make great investment bags. While the line has been around for a while, it continues to be updated and revamped to incorporate new styles and colors. In fact, in Longchamp’s Fall/Winter 2021 fashion show, the brand highlighted three gorgeous new silhouettes.
The Le Foulonné Wallet on Chain Crossbody Bag is a square-shaped purse with a flap closure and adjustable strap that can be worn across the torso or hung on the shoulder. The piece is finished off with understated gold buckles on either side of the strap, resulting in a subtle elegance and evident versatility. According to Longchamp, the style is meant to exude a "subtly androgynous vibe," inspired by Parisian fashion.

For a more modern and minimalist style, go for the Le Foulonné Zipped Crossbody Bag, which sports a longer frame and slimmer silhouette.
