(SPOT.ph) As an archipelago with more than 7,000 islands, the Philippines has some of the world's most beautiful beaches—from white sand to pink sand, the most pristine coves, to some of the best diving sites. New York-based travel magazine Travel + Leisure thinks so, too. In an article written by Anne Olivia Bauso on April 12, she lists down the "25 Most Beautiful Beaches in the World," and Saud Beach in Pagudpud, Ilocos Norte, is one of them.
"If you're searching for Southeast Asian beach bliss, super-mellow Saud Beach on the island of Luzon is a sure thing. Its white sand pitches gradually into the clear-as-glass water, like a real-world example of a zero-entry swimming pool," the writer said in the unranked list. She also recommended having "lunch under a thatch-roof cabana under the palms."
Pagudpud in Ilocos Norte is every outdoor-lover's haven. Aside from Saud Beach, you can also check out the coastal town's Maira-ira Beach, interesting geological formations such as the Kapurpurawan Rocks, and Kaibigan Falls on the eastern side of the municipality.
Other places that made it to Travel + Leisure's list are Elafonissi Beach in Greece, Nungwi Beach in Tanzania, Hanalei Bay in Hawaii, and Copacabana in Brazil.
