(SPOT.ph) Almost a week after 26-year-old Patricia Non set up a community pantry along Maginhawa Street in Quezon City, more concerned citizens decided to follow suit. There are now more than a hundred pantries all over Metro Manila and even in other provinces, ready to accept donations and give away much-needed relief to disadvantaged communities especially amid the prolonged lockdown. All these go by the mantra: "Magbigay ayon sa kakayahan, kumuha batay sa pangangailangan." The Philippine Animal Welfare Society set up their own community pantry at their Aurora Boulevard HQ, where pet owners can get free dog and cat food for their furry friends.

"Please consider putting up a Community PAW-ntry in your community to also help indigent pet owners cope in this pandemic," Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) said in their post on April 19.

To help, you can drop off your donation at PAWS Animal Rehabilitation Center, Aurora Boulevard, Katipunan Valley, Loyola Heights, Quezon City. Their "friendly gateboy" can assist you in arranging the items on the table. They're also offering free spay and neuter services for pets of 4P cardholders.
