(SPOT.ph) With Cebu nestled in between the mountains and the sea, it's no wonder that the area blessed with stunning views. And what better way to take the views than pairing it with a good cup of coffee and some grub? Whether you need to get some work done or you just want to chill in nature with family and friends, here are cafés in the Queen City of the South with views that will not disappoint. Plus, you don’t have to drive too far!

Heirloom Coffee and Kitchenette

Heirloom Coffee and Kitchenette is an open-air café that offers a picturesque 180-degree view of the verdant hills and valleys of Talisay—perfect for those who need their nature fix. The relaxing mountain retreat offers cold brews and white brews from Linear Coffee Roasters (P80) and a flavorful selection of meals such as Fried Masala Chicken Wings (P190) and Roast Beef Burger (P175).

Microscoffee

Microscoffee is a laboratory-themed café within walking distance of Southwestern University PHINMA. Unlike most of the cafés on this list, Microscoffee is situated in the heart of Cebu City, giving guests a view of the urban jungle from within. This cozy hangout offers pastries and hot and iced beverages, like their Cappuccino (P120) or Caramel Sugar Milk Tea (P120), served in actual beakers. The theme remains consistent down to their Erlenmeyer flask centerpieces and chemistry murals all over the walls! The coffee shop has a rooftop deck, though it's closed as of writing.

Divine View RestoCafe

Divine View RestoCafe is perched on the abundant highlands of Garing, Consolacion, in the northern part of Cebu. Less than half an hour away from the main road, the hilltop café only opened in February, but it’s already been making rounds online because it’s the first of its kind to have an expansive view of the hills of Consolacion. They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner; some of the items you can choose from include the Divine Burger Overload (P99) which features their house-made patty and special mayo, or their Tortilla Pizza (P99), among others. Regardless of where you're seated in this three-storey café, you'll be treated to the lush greens of the hills. On a clear day, you can even see the skyline of Cebu City.

Makan Seaview Cafe

Located inside 7Es Pilapil Park Resort in Liloan, the Makan Food Kiosk just expanded their menu with their sweetest venture—Makan Seaview Café. Makan Seaview Café has a dessert buffet for P199 per head from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The buffet includes a selection of cakes, cookies, and cool beverages like flavored lemonades and frappes. If you have a sweet tooth with a fondness for the ocean, a trip to Makan Seaview Café might be just what you need.

Maharlicup

Maharlicup is situated inside Mak’s View with another Busay favorite, Humba Haven. The rustic ambience of this sikwate (tsokolate) shop is on a whole other level because of the fresh mountain breeze and the sprawling spread of green. It serves breakfast meals and Cebuano delicacies like torta (P105), royal bibingka (P100), puto maya (P95) and a variety of sikwate drinks from all over Visayas that range from P55 to P120. Pick one or sample them all like you would single-origin coffee.

21 Kilometers Coffee

21 Kilometers Coffee is a popular stopover on the Transcentral Highway, also known as TCH for bikers, motorcyclists, and roadtrippers alike. Located less than an hour away from the city center, the TCH staple offers a panoramic view of the lush greenery of Cantipla. This charming café serves seasonal drinks like the Avocado Banana Shake (P110) and Orange Carrot Juice (P120), and specialty coffee with prices that range from P65 to P100. If you’re looking for a breath of fresh air and a bite to munch on, 21 Kilometers is the place to be. You might even be lucky enough to catch the fog in action as it sweeps the mountain range.

Matana Café

Matana Café is an all-day breakfast café and cyclery offering a view of Cebu's mountains, the sea, and everything else in between. This outdoor café offers smoothie bowls that range from P160 to P190, with breakfast choices such as Corned Beef Hash (P190), Chorizo Cebuana (P160), and Crispy Pork Belly (P240). Whether it’s been a long day of biking or sightseeing, Matana Café has a sunset view that will take your breath away.

Charlie’s Cup

Open-air cafés have been all the rage these days, and there is one for everyone—even for your furry friends! Named after the owner’s very own corgi, Charlie’s Cup is a pet-friendly café that serves hot and cold beverages such as their freshly brewed Passion Fruit Tea (P130), Strawberry Lemonade (P120), and Flat White Coffee (P120). Don't miss their Big Breakfast (P240), which includes Spam, naked chorizo, eggs, and rice. Charlie's Cup can be quite a drive but the scenery is undoubtedly something best shared with friends—furry pals included.
