(SPOT.ph) With the suspension of (or limitations with) other modes of public transportation, more people are turning to bikes to get around the city as needed—for which reason the Department of the Interior and Local Government has encouraged local government units to put up bicycle lanes.
Upon learning from cyclists that they prefer to dine outside (aside from the fact that only outdoor dining is currently permitted in light of the modified enhanced community quarantine), fast-food chain McDonald's has launched Bike & Dine—an initiative that makes dining out at McDonald's all the more easy and convenient for bikers.
As part of the initiative, McDonald's has set up bike racks at with dining ledges integrated at selected branches. This lets cyclists have their meal near their bikes outdoors, while making sure their bikes are upright, safe, and secure. So far, they've implemented this at their McKinley and Vermosa stores—and the good news is they'll be rolling it out at more branches this year!
They've also deployed plain bike racks in over 50 other McDonald's branches, which include the following:
- Eton
- Savano Park
- Barangka
- Makati Cinema Square
- Quezon Avenue
- Valero
- Madison
- Regalado
- Almanza
- Muntinlupa Highway
McDonald’s is an American fast-food chain that began in California in 1940, but made their way to our shores in 1992. Since then, they’ve been a go-to for burgers, fries, fried chicken, and more.
