(SPOT.ph) Following the reopening of four sites in Intramuros (including Casa Manila and San Agustin Museum), the National Museum of the Philippines announced that they're finally reopening on March 2. The National Museum of Fine Arts, the National Museum of Anthropology, and the National Museum of Natural History are all ready to welcome back guests as long as health protocols and strict guidelines are followed. All three buildings are open from Tuesday to Sunday, excluding religious holidays, with a morning session from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and an afternoon session from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Cut-off times for arrival are at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
These are the official guidelines for visiting the National Museum of the Philippines:
- Only those persons aged 15 to 65 years are allowed to visit the National Museum of the Philippines.
- Eeach museum is building shall be limited to one hundred people per session.
- Visitors are required to reserve their slot at least one day prior to their planned visit.
- Groups are limited to a maximum of five people.
- Temperature scan and completion of health declaration forms are required upon arrival.
- Face masks and face shields must be worn at all times.
- Visitors are allowed to bring their own sanitizing kits (small bottles of alcohol, small spray bottles, and tissue paper).
- Art materials other than pencils, large bags, backpacks, long umbrellas, food and drink, plants, tripods and video cameras, wrapped packages, and pets are not allowed inside the museum.
- Social distancing of at least two meters between persons not belonging to the same household must be observed at all times.
- Elevators shall be used only for PWDs and senior citizens.
- Guided tours are not allowed.
The National Museum of the Philippines is at Rizal Park, Ermita, Manila City. It is open from Tuesday to Sunday (except holidays), from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. For updates, follow National Museum of the Philippines on Facebook.
