In an effort to make life simpler for their subscribers looking for a dependable connection, mobile services provider Smart Communications partnered with Waze so that you can locate a Smart 5G-covered area nearest you.
This feature is available for Waze users in Metro Manila and major cities in Aklan, Bulacan, Cavite, Cebu, Davao del Sur, Iloilo, Laguna, and Pampanga. Smart has so far activated up to 1,400 5G sites in the country with the target of having over 3,800 stations before the end of 2021.
Based on an Ookla analysis in the second half of 2020, Smart provides an average speed of 20.08 Mbps for downloads and 7.42 Mbps for uploads.
