(SPOT.ph) Delivery riders have steadily been one of our frontliner heroes this past year—and one fast food chain has a way for us to give back! Riders will get their own breakfast if you order McDonald's on Tuesday, March 16 through their "Breakfast for Heroes" offer.
You can order between 6 a.m. and 10 a.m. on March 16 from any platform—whether it's via McDelivery, GrabFood, or FoodPanda—and the rider will be treated to a free Cheesy Eggdesal meal with orange juice. "Delivery riders have been our lifeline in these challenging times, and their sacrifices and hard work have made the past year much easier for everyone," said Oliver Rabatan, McDonald's marketing director, in a statement.
You probably heard the term "McDeliverBack" first in 2019 when they released a touching commercial to honor drivers. And this time they're bringing it back, "as we mark the first year of the lockdown," added Rabatan. The fast food chain "honors and gives thanks to these delivery riders with a hearty breakfast to start their day." Most people have been depending a whole lot more on delivery riders as the quarantine—and strict safety protocols—continues.
