(SPOT.ph) Food delivery apps have been beyond helpful, especially in the pandemic, as they conveniently let you order from a wide variety of restaurants (sans heading out!) with just a few taps on your phone. One of them is LalaFood, which hails from the folks behind delivery app Lalamove. As they say, however, good things don't last forever—and with that, LalaFood has announced that they'll be having their last day of operations on February 15.

"In 2018, the LalaFood incubation project was started by Lalamove as a means to explore the food delivery sector. While as a company we have learnt a great deal from LalaFood, a decision has been made to redirect our focus entirely on our core Lalamove delivery business," LalaFood wrote in a social media post. "We express our deepest gratitude to all of LalaFood's customers for your continued support, and to our partner riders and merchants who were with us throughout this journey."
In the post, LalaFood wrote that 2021 continues to be "another year of strong growth for Lalamove in the Philippines". They also mentioned having expansion plans in progress in Manila and Pampanga this February 2021. "This year is just unfolding and there's so much in store for us all."
