PHOTO BY MUJI ILLUSTRATION War Espejo

We know MUJI as a Japanese brand known for a wide selection of household and consumer goods that have a no-frills, minimalistic aesthetic. We wouldn't be surprised if you've hoarded pens and notebooks, and maybe even gotten yourself that tabo (bathroom dipper). But if you've been redesigning your space recently, you'd be happy to know you can get kitchen items here, too.

These are the MUJI kitchen items worth checking out for minimalist kitchens:

Acrylic Water Pot (P765/one-liter pot, P895/two-liter pot)

This pitcher has a no-spill design so you can store it in your refrigerator vertically or horizontally. It comes with a removable filter cap you can use if you'd like to brew a pitcher of ice-cold tea.

Soda Lime Glass Stack (P385/three 210ml pieces, P475/three 240ml pieces)

More than a minimalist aesthetic, most of MUJI's kitchen items are also space savers! This specific drinkware is stackable for easier storage and its unique design makes for a more comfortable grip as you drink.

Santoku Knife (P2,150)

A santoku knife is known to have a thinner blade which is useful if you want extremely thin slices. MUJI's take on this famous knife is made with a three-layer interrupted steel, which makes it extra sharp.

If your bulky rice container is an eyesore, then you can remedy that with MUJI's Rice Storage Box. This storage box can hold up to two kilos. You can even use it to store other food items like quinoa, cereal, or even macaroni.

Banko Tableware Collection (P695/6.5-cm bowl, P895/7.5-cm bowl, P795/plate, P275/chopstick rest)
