(SPOT.ph) In January, McDonald's in China had the Internet buzzing for a strange but intriguing dessert they had on their menu for a limited time. Yup, we're talking about the Youpo Lazi sundae—a.k.a. soft-serve ice cream topped with spicy chili oil! It was only available for one day, and not a lot of people are traveling overseas right now—but if you're curious about the combination, here's where you can try a similar dessert locally. For Chinese New Year, Merry Moo is offering their own limited Chili Crisp Ice Cream!
The Chili Crisp Ice Cream has a salty vanilla ice-cream base mixed with crunchy caramel bits, plus spicy Sichuan peppers. The result? A savory-sweet scoop where the heat of the chili is matched by the coldness of the ice cream! A 100-ml cup goes for P145, while a 473-ml pint goes for P420. Note that only five to 10 cups and 21 pints are available, so you'll want to place your orders ASAP! Just visit their website; Merry Moo accepts payments made through credit or debit card, GCash, and over-the-counter deposit slips.
Merry Moo is a local ice-cream shop that churns up premium ice cream using non-ultra heat treated dairy sourced from Laguna farmers. Their ice-cream line includes basics like French Vanilla and Sea Salt Caramel, as well as more playful flavors like Polvoron and Cheesy Mamon.
For orders, visit Merry Moo's website.
