(SPOT.ph) We knew it would happen: People going on revenge travel—a.k.a. the urge to get out of their homes after months of not being able to fly, go on long drives, stay in hotels, and have fun at beach resorts. But with the virus still around, Philippine tourism adopted health protocols to guarantee the safety of travelers, such as travel bubbles where specific dates are set for guest arrivals. El Nido Resorts in Palawan is one of the first accommodation establishments to implement this scheme, which they started as early as July 2020. And if you're looking to go on a getaway to one of the world's most beautiful islands, El Nido Resorts (ENR) just launched a one-stop website where you can easily book a travel bubble with a quick "Add to Cart." Travel packages are also on sale until February 19.
The site shows available properties that are available for booking, which are so far three of ENR's four eco-luxury island resorts (Miniloc, Pangulasian, and Lagen); dates, which all come in four-day blocks; and travel inclusions. Packages go as low as P85,000 for two, which is already inclusive of a three-night stay, roundtrip airfare via AirSwift's charter flights, complimentary roundtrip transfers from Lio Airport to the resort, daily full-board meals, use of non-motorized water sports equipment, standard tours, and travel insurance. For comparison, pre-COVID rates at ENR start at P30,000 per night (exclusive of flights).
All three ENR properties are requiring travel and health declarations and negative results from RT-PCR swab testing taken 72 hours prior to departure from guests. Their partner health facility is at Qualimed Clinic Makati Branch, where each test costs P4,000. ENR is also implementing low-contact check-in and check-out via QR codes, e-mail, and cashless payment options; regular disinfection and cleaning of rooms; and installation of protective barriers in all reception areas. Guests are also encouraged to wear PPEs (face masks, shields, et cetera), avail of in-room dining, and follow physical distancing measures (seat markers). Use of spa, main pools, and gyms are upon reservation.
