(SPOT.ph) It's a new month, which means there are new games—free—up on PS Plus to check out this March! In February, Sony PlayStation 5 users got an early treat in the games lineup, but this time around, the spotlight has returned to PS4 users with three PS4 games and one PS5 game that will be available for download from March 2 to April 5. Here's a quick lowdown of each of the exciting titles.

Here are the free PlayStation games you can download in March 2021:
Final Fantasy VII Remake (PlayStation 4)

Cloud and the gang are back for more swashbuckling adventures in the city of Midgar. Join him in stopping Shinra Corporation and their plans of draining the life energy of the planet. This remastered version showcases the same excitement and thrill of the OG 1997 game with crisper visuals and better gameplay. It has also been announced that an enhanced and expanded PS5 version of the game called Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will be released in June. Do note that only purchased versions of FFVII Remake are eligible for the version upgrade.
Remnant: From the Ashes (PlayStation 4)

This 2019 game is a third-person, Dark Souls-inspired shooter that will pit you against horrific, interdimensional evils called the Root. You get to carry two guns and one melee weapon to defend yourself. The weapons vary from machine guns, sniper rifles, shotguns, pistols, to scrap hammers and many others. They can be upgraded using the loot that you obtain from killing enemies. But that’s not even the best part. In Remnant, you can team up with up to two other players as you progress through the story or through endless boss fights. What better way to spend time with your squad, right?
Farpoint (PlayStation VR)
[youtube:{"videoId":"null","youtubeId":"KGtLBjQ53tg", "caption":""}]
In this game, you must use your gunplay skills in order to survive a hostile alien world that you are trapped in. Farpoint is a first-person shooting game for PS VR that can be played solo or in online co-op. The game has been optimized for the PS VR Aim controller but can also be played using the DualShock controller (although we suggest you try the former for a more immersive experience). The game’s AI is decent in difficulty as the enemies will force you to crawl out of your cover and shoot them head on. Tip: It’s best to select the Smooth turn option to lessen unnecessary movements and improve your accuracy when aiming at your opponents. Oh, and it has Versus game modes, too!
Maquette (PlayStation 5)
[youtube:{"videoId":"null","youtubeId":"ceMkmsyzCoc", "caption":""}]
Maquette has mind-bending puzzles and requires manipulating your surroundings (WandaVision vibes, anyone?). In the game, you must use life-sized objects around you to go through the puzzles in the diorama version, or a maquette, of the game world. Remember that objects from the “real world” differ in size when you move or bring them into the maquette. What seems small in the “real world” will look big in the maquette. If your brain cells have surrendered, just call up PS5’s Game Help for helpful hints—no judgment here!
