The Legend Villas in Mandaluyong City announced its closure in a Facebook post on February 1, after 28 years of operations.
"For 28 years, you have chosen us to be part of your vacations and meetings. For 28 years, we have served you the most delicious home-style Filipino dishes in the metro. For 28 years, we have become witness to countless milestones and life celebrations. For 28 years, our guests rooms have been your home away from home. All of those, we will forever keep," The Legend Villas wrote in a Facebook post on February 1.
"As we officially close our doors and bid goodbye, we would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to all those who have been a part of The Legend Villas. We hope that we were able to impart a great customer experience to everyone."

"It has been and will always be our desire to provide our guests with a service that is truly SULIT, ALAGA, LEGEND. Maraming, maraming salamat po," ended the statement.
While the hotel did not specify its reasons for its closure, it's worth noting how the COVID-19 pandemic and resulting lockdowns have greatly affected the tourism and hospitality industry.
The Legend Villas was "a 100% Filipino owned hotel" with an "old-world charm." It had 130 guest rooms, function rooms, and a Pinoy restaurant named Lola Maria. Their closure comes right off the heels of Makati Shangri-La's temporary closure which took effect starting February.
