(SPOT.ph) Pet owners are well aware of the guilt when leaving your favorite cat or dog behind during a vacation. Sure, they can be safe and sound when you check them in at pet hotels; but it's just not the same. Bus company Victory Liner, which is slowly resuming provincial operations following months of restriction amid the pandemic, released the new schedule for pet-friendly bus trips. Routes include Cubao to Baguio, Cubao to San Fernando (Pampanga), Cubao to Apalit (Pampanga), and other destinations.

Victory Liner initially announced in February 2020 that cats and dogs are already allowed aboard their commuter buses. This came after the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board clarified their rules about bringing pets aboard public utility vehicles.

Pet owners are required to put their four-legged friends (small- to medium-sized only) inside a carrier or cage, and they must wear animal diapers at all times. The carrier or cage can be placed in front of the seat beside the passenger, which means you'll need to pay for that extra ticket.

The bus line is also implementing a "no complete documents, no boarding" policy for passengers heading to Baguio City. Travelers are required to present their QR Coded-Tourist Pass, which can be secured through the Baguio VISITA website. You also need to get tested for COVID-19 (either RT-PCR or antigen) at least 72 hours before travel. Only tour operators, travel agents, and accommodations accredited by the Department of Tourism have been allowed to operate.
