(SPOT.ph) These days, with the world's plastic consumption constantly increasing, sustainability is more important than ever. Even tourism-related establishments go out of their way to minimize their carbon footprint in an effort to protect the environment. If that's one of the things you consider when looking for your next escape, this old clubhouse-turned-private villa in Alfonso, Cavite, is also a sustainable home.

G House Alfonso, which was designed by sustainability advocate and architect Liza Morales-Crespo, was originally a clubhouse in a private subdivision in Cavite. While most of the structure was maintained, her team used upcycled materials, maximised natural lighting and ventilation through floor-to-ceiling glass windows, and installed low-energy appliances.
