Mendokoro Has Off-Menu Dishes and They're the Only Noods We're After

Mendokoro Ramenba is one of the most popular ramen shops in Metro Manila, and for good reason. People typically line up for their bestselling Tonkotsu ramen bowls, while others probably made a beeline for their Miso Tonkotsu, which we hailed as the best miso ramen in Manila in 2017. And of course, don't forget to order Gyoza!

However, even the biggest fans of the ramen joint may not know that Mendokoro actually has off-menu items. Their Bonifacio Global City outpost in particular has two branch-exclusives: Curry Tsukemen and the TanTan Maze Soba!

If you love the sweetness-meets-umami flavor of Japanese curry, the Curry Tsukemen would be right up your alley. This ramen gets its distinct flavors by combining turmeric, cumin, coriander, ginger, and fresh or dried chilies.

For those who love spicy food, the TanTan Maze Soba is a must-try. This soupless version of the popular TanTanMen ramen puts Mendokoro's sesame shoyu dressing in the spotlight. The noodles are then topped off with green peppers and freshly ground peanuts.

Mendokoro Ramenba currently has three branches in the Metro. In November 2020, they came out with ramen kits in minimalist packaging.

Mendokoro Ramenba BGC is at Icon Plaza, RCBC Building, 26th Street, Taguig City. It is open daily from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
