Most couples would want to have a new member of their family. But some have their own reasons why they don’t want to have a baby yet.
Just like this actress who decided not to have her own baby yet even after two years of her marriage.
She is Maxene Magalona who got married with Robbie Mananquil. They tied the knots in the early 2018 gving them a couple of married life now.
This year, the went to Bali, Indonesia to undergo yoga training. The couple spent their whole quarantine there as well.
Recently on May, Maxene revealed something about her health condition. She shared thatbshe was diagnosed with complex post traumatic stress disorder (C-PTSD).
After finding this out, Maxene wanted to raise awareness about mental health issues and the stigma about this.
According to the actress, “C-PTSD is a psychological disorder that can develop due to prolonged and repeated interpersonal trauma.”
On July 19, Max took to her social media, particularly in Instagram and posted the reason why she doesn’t want a baby yet.
“One of the main reasons why my husband and I decided to deepen our yoga practice and become certified yoga teachers was because we wanted to study it professionally so that we can pass on the teachings to our children someday.
Although it is common in the Philippines for newlyweds to have babies as soon as they get married, we chose to take our time, focus on our marriage and solidify our foundation before anything else,” she penned.
At this point, Max explained that she is scared for her kids to inherit her health situation. She further explained that they wanted to pass the lessons and teach their kids about dealing with their mental health.
Maxene ended up her post saying that their stay in Bali is a hope for her to be ready in parenthood.
