(SPOT.ph) Popular as Japanese food may be among Filipinos, it has a bit of a reputation for being expensive. Some establishments, however, have proven this need not be the case, cooking up Japanese dishes at accessible price points. One of those places is Ohayo Maki x Sushi, the sister eatery of Ohayo Maki and Ramen Bar that offers affordable sushi and ramen from their quaint, carinderia-esque kiosk in Timog. If you enjoyed a meal from them, be sure to cherish those memories, as Ohayo Maki x Sushi has announced that they'll be closing shop—at least for the time being.

"We’re closing up our kiosk," Ohayo Maki x Sushi writes in a social media post. "[It's been] four wonderful years of growth and hard work." However, they clarify that they're not bidding us goodbye, and instead saying a "new hello" as they have plans to revamp their space and "transform into a better version of ourselves".
"We push forward but we will never forget our humble beginnings, [as] it took us to where we are right now as Ohayo Maki and Ramen Bar, and it will continue to be a sentimental part of our story," they wrote.
The eatery was known for dishes like the Salmon Torched roll and Tantanmen ramen, which were bursting with umami flavors while staying around the P200 price point. We can't wait to see what's next!
