(SPOT.ph) Commuting in the "new normal" can be quite tricky, which is why more and more people are rediscovering cycling to get to their destinations. But if you're looking for a more convenient way to travel, the local government of Manila partnered with GET Philippines to roll out free shuttle rides from SM City Manila to SM Mall of Asia, and vice versa. It's a convenient way to move around if you have to go to and from Manila and Pasay for work on a daily basis.

According to a post by the Manila Public Information Office, the free shuttle service runs from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily. The bus stop at SM Manila is located at the UG/F carpark driveway near the taxi lane.

All you have to do is download the Get-Pass mobile app to serve as your QR identification when getting on the bus. You're also required to wear face masks and face shields while aboard.

This service is using COMET vehicles, which is short for Community Optimized Managed Electric Transport. Each air-conditioned unit has a maximum capacity of 30 passengers and features a wheelchair slot, CCTV, onboard video display, and GPS tracking. It runs on fast-charging lithium ion battery, reducing carbon dioxide emissions in the air.
