It's as Chill as Can Be at the Philippines' First Letter-Writing Café

(SPOT.ph) Writing letters might sound outdated in these technology-driven times, but there's an old-fashioned charm about taking your time to write out a heartfelt message by hand—one that e-mails, Facebook DMs, and tweets simply cannot replicate. If you also happen to be looking for a great cup of coffee along the way, then you'll want to check out this new spot. Located in Vista Mall Daang Hari in Bacoor, Cavite, Dear Joe is the first letter-writing cafe in the Philippines by the folks behind Coffee Project—and you've got to add it to your must-visit list on your next roadtrip!

Keep an eye out for this spot when you're at Vista Mall Daang Hari!

Dear Joe flaunts a sleek and cozy vibe, with brick walls painted in hues of green, gray, and off-white. Chill as the space is, it's brought to life by the occasional touches of greenery placed in between chairs and tables, as well as framed prints and murals on the walls. Keep your smartphone handy—you'll be snapping lots of pictures!

Dear Joe greets you with its cool and cozy vibe.

As you admire the eye-catching interiors, you can write letters for your friends, family, or just yourself using Dear Joe's own stationery, then drop it off to Dear Joe's letter box. Dear Joe also has a drive-thru area, al-fresco seating, and a private spot where you can have meetings with friends or co-workers.

Thirsty? Dear Joe's got a short but sweet selection of, well, cups of joe—from your basic Hot Americano (P140/tall, P155/grande) to the Vietnamese-inspired Ca Phe Sua Da (P210/grande, P225/big Joe) to the cool and creamy Hazelnut Frappe (P210/grande, P225/big Joe). There are non-coffee based drinks too, like the Walnut Brownie Frappe (P210/grande, P225/big Joe) and Floral Raspberry Kiwi Tea (P185/regular, P200/big Joe). For your daily dose of fruit, you can go for smoothies like the Mango Average Joe (P170/grande, P190/big Joe) and Watermelon + Melon + Banana Berry Blends (P160/grande, P180/big Joe).

You can chill out here with coffee...

As for food, you can go for a light option like the Kimchi Lychee Salad (P295) or a heavy-snack slash light-meal like the Truffle Grilled Cheese (P275). If you're really hungry, go ahead and go ham on one of their big breakfast platters, like the Smoked Salmon Omelette (P275); or meaty entrees, like the Crispy Panchetta Dijon (P395). With its inviting vibe, great cups of joe, and satisfying eats, Dear Joe's the kind of place where you'll want to hang out all day.

The Truffle Grilled Cheese would pair perfectly with any of their drinks.
